  • name - The character's name, this should be left out if the character's name is the same as the page's name.
  • image - The filename for an image of the character, without the "File:" prefix or any additional markup. If this is missing, the page is added to Category:Missing image.
  • caption - Optional. This can be used to add a caption to the image, if it isn't a simple image of the character.
  • album - The filename for an image of the character's album page, without the "File:" prefix or any additional markup. If this is missing, the page is added to Category:Missing album image.
  • storelocked - The filename for an image of the character in the store before they are unlocked, without the "File:" prefix or any additional markup. This should be cropped to only show that character's store entry. If the character is unlocked from level 1 (in Ponyville) or level 10 (in Canterlot), store should be used instead. If this is missing, the page is added to Category:Missing store locked image and Category:Missing store image.
  • storeunlocked - The filename for an image of the character in the store after they are unlocked, without the "File:" prefix or any additional markup. This should be cropped to only show that character's store entry. If the character is unlocked from level 1 (in Ponyville) or level 10 (in Canterlot), store should be used instead. If this is missing, the page is added to Category:Missing store unlocked image and Category:Missing store image.
  • store - The filename for an image of the character in the store, without the "File:" prefix or any additional markup. This should be cropped to only show that character's store entry. If the character is unlocked at a certain level and is shown as locked in the store before that level is reached, storelocked and storeunlocked should be used instead. If this is missing, the page is added to Category:Missing store locked image, Category:Missing store unlocked image, and Category:Missing store image.
  • storewidth - The width of the image named in store, in pixels.
  • inventory - The filename for an image of the character in the inventory, without the "File:" prefix or any additional markup. This should be cropped to only show that character's inventory entry. If any of store, storelocked, or storeunlocked are used, this cannot be used. Using this prevents pages from being added to Category:Missing store image, Category:Missing store locked image, and Category:Missing store unlocked image.
  • inventorywidth - The width of the image named in inventory, in pixels.
  • description - The character's in-game description, from their album page. This is automatically italicized, and italics, quotes, or other markup should not be added. If this is missing, the page is added to Category:Missing game description.
  • town - The town the character lives in, currently one of Ponyville or Canterlot. The town's name is automatically linked.
  • cost - How much the character costs to purchase or obtain, using the {{Bit}}, {{Gem}}, or {{Heart}} template. This should also be used for characters that can only be won from games. If this is missing, the page is added to Category:Missing cost.
  • level - The level required to unlock the character. If this is missing, the page is added to Category:Missing level obtainable.
  • bonus - The bonus XP awarded when the character arrives and is welcomed. If this is missing, the page is added to Category:Missing arrival bonus.
  • house - The name of the character's house. The house's name is automatically linked. If this is missing, the page is added to Category:Missing residence.
  • timer - How long it takes for the character to be ready to play a minigame; that is, the character's minigame cool-down time. If this is missing, the page is added to Category:Missing time information.
  • skip - How many gems it costs to skip the minigame cool-down time. Only the number of gems should be provided; it is automatically formatted with {{Gem}}. If this is missing, the page is added to Category:Missing skip cost.
  • Quest-related parameters (issues, tasks, mentions) - Quests should be listed using {{Ponyville quest}}, {{Canterlot quest}}, or {{Seasonal quest}} as necessary to autolink and format the quests, and with each quest separated with a line break <br />. If there are more than ten quests listed in any one parameter, they can be replaced with a single link to the "Quests" section on that character's page, as seen on Twilight Sparkle. If a character both issues, is required to complete, and/or is mentioned in the same quest (for example, Twilight is mentioned in the intro text of "Returning to Harmony"C, and one of its tasks is to raise her to five stars), they should be listed separately, but only the first mention of the quest in the infobox needs to be linked.
  • issues - A list of quests that the character issues to the player.
  • tasks - A list of quests that have at least one task the character is required to complete (e.g. buying, welcoming, or interacting with that character).
  • mentions - A list of quests that mention the character in their intro or outro text.
