Starlight Glimmer: You know... centaur magic might work differently than I thought, at first, but it can still be dangerous. (Trixie is... uh... pretty definitive evidence of that.)
Starlight Glimmer: That's why I'm drafting a new lesson plan for the School of Friendship -- to teach our students what happened when Tirek tried to steal all of Equestria's magic!
Starlight Glimmer: Not all of our students are old enough to remember the details, after all... so it's worth teaching them! Let's see what primary sources I can dig up on that particular global emergency...

Starlight Glimmer: Hmm... Not a lot of information at the bookstore. I guess all of Equestria was too caught up in the chaos to do a lot of documentation...
Starlight Glimmer: I'd base the lesson plan on my own personal experience, but... aheh... I was kind of in my villain phase, then. Not really paying much attention to current events at the time!
Starlight Glimmer: But, you know... I COULD always ask a pony who witnessed it first-hoof! Twilight Sparkle was one of the ones who helped take down Tirek in the first place -- I should interview her!

1st Round: Rainbow Powers[]
Twilight Sparkle: Thanks for coming to me, Starlight! I'll try and give you as much context as your students might need... For example, not everypony knows that he's a SERIAL magic thief.
Twilight Sparkle: Long ago, he tried to steal magic from Equestrian ponies -- which is why he was sent to Tartarus for his crimes. But one day, he escaped, and began terrorizing modern-day Equestria in the same way!
Twilight Sparkle: All of the princesses of Equestria had to come up with a plan -- and that included me. I was having some self-confidence issues at the time, which I can get into later...
Twilight Sparkle: But we knew if he stole Alicorn magic he'd be almost unstoppable -- so I was entrusted with keeping it safe... until Tirek captured all my friends!
Twilight Sparkle: I had to trade all that magic in exchange for their freedom, and I wasn't sure what to do... But then Discord gave me a medallion that turned out to be a HUGE turning point!
Twilight Sparkle: All together, my friends and I raced to the Tree of Harmony and used the medallion to unlock a mysterious chest... AND unlocked new powers for us! We got... RAINBOWFIED!

2nd Round: Rainbow Research[]
Twilight Sparkle: ... And that was how we were able to stop Tirek, send him back to Tartarus, and return all the stolen magic to everypony in Equestria!
Starlight Glimmer: Whoa... Thanks, Twilight! That was super helpful as a historical survey... but I DO have a couple follow-up questions.
Starlight Glimmer: I really want to dig down deep into how centaur magic interacts with pony magic... Could you go into any more detail about any arcane principles you observed during the fight?
Twilight Sparkle: COULD I?! Starlight, I took NOTES on it. There was this one effect, when Tirek was fully pumped up with stolen magic, that is SUPER hard to recreate under laboratory conditions...

- Each attack costs 1 energy and gives you 25
- 150 (60 on average), which can be used for upgrades. Each attack deals damage equal to your power and energies take time to regenerate. - Upgrades increase your power, maximum energy capacity and decreases the recharge time for each energy.
- You start with 10 power, 10 energy and 13 minutes (countdown) per energy.
