Hello, since you've been inactive here for so long, I've removed the admin usergroup from your account. This is purely procedural as a precautionary measure against having usergroups left on inactive or abandoned accounts and is not meant to reflect on you as an editor, and as such, if you decide to return to editing and would like the right back, just ask and I'd be happy to restore it. Cheers!
No need to feel bad; interests shift over time. =) Don't be afraid to make the occasional edit, though, even if it's just a typo correction or the like, and poke me if you ever decide to get back into it. =)
First off i have to say you are doing a great job of running the wiki :)
I have a suggestion, that for the ponies that can be won though the equestria girls mini game to put the ponies into a category, it would make it easier to pinpoint which a player can win from the mini game with out looking at all of the pages for what is able to win. Im not sure if there is anything like this on a page, if it is i think it would work better as a category, have a good day :)
Hey Anobi, I was just wondering if you'd be interested in adminship here. We don't actually have much need of another admin at this time, but I don't think that should preclude the possibility of improvements you might like to make that you would require the admin bit for (not that I would be expecting you to actually do anything if you accept ;) ), and I see you've been an admin on the DMC wiki for a while, so I have confidence that you're familiar with the tools already and have a grasp on when it's appropriate to use them. =)
Also, if you happen to have Skype and would like to, feel free to add me. =)
Oh, sweet! I would not turn down another adminship, but it's entirely up to you. I'm just here to help out when I can. If being an admin helps with that, then, go for it. Otherwise, I'm happy just being a regular contributor.
Done, don't hesitate to use your tools if you have any ideas on how to improve the wiki further (in particular, if you have ideas for improving the layout, I'd love to see what you can do; I'm horrible at that type of design XD ).
That would be because I hate redundant info, and since the infobox pulls the pony's name from the pagename if you don't give it a name, doing so isn't necessary in most cases now. It's not a huge deal, though, and if you really don't care about the redundancy, you can remove the check. =)
Thanks for the clarification. I see your point, but since it doesn't change the result, I don't really consider it to be a problem. The current version of the infobox is great as it is. I wish I had thought to do all that cool stuff from the start! None-the-less, I think I screwed up enough things on this wiki for now, so I'll leave it be and let someone else have a go at it.
Heh, thanks. I've been Wiki'ing for years, too, but only just started "seriously" coding a few weeks ago. I was perhaps too proud of myself for getting the "quests" section to show up only if there was a value for it. I tried messing with your MLP:FiM Wiki thing, to make that an #ifexist thing, but gave up. Maybe I'll poke around with it later.
Unfortunately, #ifexist doesn't work across wikis; I just tested it myself to make sure since I'd never actually had a reason to try it before now.
If you don't mind my saying now, there are a couple of usage points in regards to #ifexist that you should keep in mind: first, the page you're testing with it must be provided unlinked, and second, it is what's called an expensive parser function, and the number of times you can use it on a single page is limited by the wiki software.
